NEW MOVIES THIS MONTH · US EDITION
New movies coming out this month include both October theater openings and films premiering directly on subscription services. This October 2026 US guide puts the dates in weekly order, then explains the practical differences between a wide release, a limited opening and a streaming premiere.
The October 2 releases are marked as released; later dates remain confirmed upcoming. This page keeps the same URL when its monthly edition changes, so bookmarking it will lead to the current edition rather than a new address every month.

How to use this guide
Dates were checked against studio, distributor and streaming-service announcements, with established film-reference pages used for missing release and rating fields. US releases are kept separate from international and festival dates. A missing runtime, rating or home-release platform is omitted rather than guessed. This is a curated set of verified releases, not an exhaustive census of all US distribution.
Frequently asked questions
Which October dates are already released?
The October 2 entries are released as of this edition’s check. Dates after October 2 remain upcoming and can change before opening.
Does limited theatrical mean nationwide?
No. A limited opening may reach only a small number of cities, with an expansion later or no wide expansion at all. Check an actual local showtime.
Will this page get a new URL in November?
The monthly guide is designed to retain this address while its title, dates and selections move to the new month. The annual upcoming calendar provides the broader release context.
